Overview
The Royal Western Yacht Club of England have been chosen to host the prestigious joint 4000 and D-One Eurocup Gold Cup in Plymouth.
The 4000 Class will be joined by the D-One Class Dinghies to compete over a four-day period from August 1st to August 4th. The event will be held in Plymouth Sound National Marine Park and will feature committee boat starts with marks laid across the Sound to optimise the racing area and tactics for all competitors.
The event will see a large number of competitors travel from all over the UK and throughout Europe to enjoy a great four days of racing and on shore social events.
Three days later the club will be hosting the three day D-One UK National Championships. So after a short break the D-Ones will be rounding off with yet another great One Design Championships.
This event is among many being hosted from the Royal Western during 2026, including our annual Allspars Final Fling Regatta of which these classes take part in. Once again, we are pleased to work in partnership with Queen Anne’s Battery, MDL Marinas to support this event allowing dry storage of all boats over the entire event duration.
With a well proven formula, a spectacular setting and great race management, the 4000 and D-One Eurocup and Gold Cup are in for a fantastic regatta.
