This much-loved class has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence in recent years, with sailors of all ages and abilities returning to the water in anticipation of the Mirror World Championships 2027, to be hosted by Poole Yacht Club.

The enduring spirit of the Mirror fleet continues to shine, with competitors ranging in age from three to seventy+, sailing classic wooden gaff-rigged boats to the latest one-piece plastic designs—both single and double-handed.

While racing at the front of the fleet promises to be fiercely competitive, the emphasis remains firmly on camaraderie, fun, and the shared joy of sailing.
