Overview
The two race Torbay Weekend is an integral part of the new RWYC coastal series consisting of 6 races which include the Falmouth, Fowey, Plymouth Triangle and the 25 Miler. Not forgetting it is also part of the 15 race Ullman Sails Coastal Series (USPRS).
Starting on the Saturday the first race is direct to Torbay from a committee boat start in Plymouth Sound. A reception is planned at the Royal Torbay Yacht Club post racing where all the fleet will meet and be hosted by the yacht club.
On the Sunday another committee boat start this time in Torbay will take the fleet away on the race back to Plymouth finishing on the RWYC line.
The Sunday race is also a feeder race for entrants of Plymouth Race Week (9th to 12th July) who are coming from the south coast to partake in Plymouth’s Premier port regatta.
For competitors a free berthing stopover for a couple of hours after racing is arranged at QAB Marina (subject to space available) details of which can be found in the Notice of Race, to enable competitors to join in with the post racing social and prize giving.
